Murky Water and Icebaths

Today was another rest day and began the day with a slight sleep in (only until 8.30) and an early swim sesh.

Sue had us treading water and swimming around in the murky waters of the pool for what felt like hours before we could regain our strength with the daily ice coffee hit.

The apparent bra found in the water and the feeling of thick, oily water made us all a little unsure of what we were swimming with and we were more than happy to get out.

After the swim it was clear a few of the girls couldn’t deal with the sun (aka shae and skip) and turned a bright shade of tomato and we were off for a bite to eat – more rice – and then to the stadium.

Away from the concrete courts and back in the stadium for training was a relief for the girls and an awesome training was had by all. Following the training session filled with game play and some crazy under the net dives by Tee we signed a few more autographs (the superstars we are) and head back for a delight – ice baths!!!

Once we regained feeling in our limbs we killed a bit more time before heading back to the stadium to watch the Korea vs. Thailand match (the loser of which we will be playing on Saturday).

After the game we were all keen for the pho we had waiting for us back at the hotel and enjoyed a delicious traditional Vietnamese breakfast dish for dinner. The day concluded with a relaxing viewing of America’s Next Top Model (as we’ve run out of episodes of Revenge) and an early night to prepare us for the official rest day tomorrow.
